Before you can configure and use Novus AI, the bot must first be added to your Discord server.
Novus AI uses Discord authorization to securely connect the bot and identify the servers you are allowed to manage.
Step 1: Sign In to Novus AI
Open Novus AI and sign in using your Discord account.
After signing in, you will be able to access the Novus AI dashboard and view the Discord servers associated with your account.
Step 2: Open Your Discord Server List
From the Novus AI dashboard, go to My Discord Servers.
This page displays the Discord servers that you can manage with Novus AI.
If Novus AI has not yet been installed on a server, you will have the option to add the bot.
Step 3: Add Novus AI
Find the Discord server where you want to use Novus AI and select the option to add or install the bot.
You will be redirected to Discord's authorization page.
Step 4: Select Your Discord Server
Discord will ask which server you want to add Novus AI to.
Select the correct Discord server from the list and continue with the authorization.
If your server does not appear, make sure your Discord account has sufficient permission to manage or add applications to that server.
Step 5: Review and Authorize Permissions
Discord will display the permissions requested by Novus AI.
Review the permissions and select Authorize to continue.
These permissions allow Novus AI to perform its configured functions, such as reading messages, responding to members, accessing configured channels, and performing other enabled Discord features.
Do not manually remove required permissions after installation, as some Novus AI features may stop working correctly.
Step 6: Return to Novus AI
After successfully authorizing the bot, return to the Novus AI dashboard.
Your Discord server should now appear as an installed server in My Discord Servers.
You can then open the server configuration to continue setting up Novus AI.
If the Server Does Not Appear
If you cannot find your Discord server during installation:
Make sure you are signed in with the correct Discord account.
Verify that you have permission to manage the Discord server.
Refresh your Discord server list in Novus AI.
Make sure Novus AI has not been removed from the server.
Try the authorization process again if the previous installation was interrupted.
Multiple Discord Servers
If your account has access to multiple Discord servers, Novus AI can display the servers that are available for configuration.
Availability and the number of servers you can actively use with Novus AI may depend on your current plan.
Each Discord server has its own configuration, allowing you to maintain separate AI instructions, Knowledge Base information, routing, channels, and other settings for different communities.
Installation Complete
Once Novus AI appears as installed in My Discord Servers, the Discord connection is complete.
The next step is to understand the permissions Novus AI requires and make sure the bot can properly access the channels and features you intend to use.
Continue to Discord Permissions.
